Photo bucket plus 500

Post by Petemcc »

Touché photo bucket. Suck us in them hold us ransom. Looks like a paid account is needed for embedding or linking photos. But the account that gets you that is $39.99 a month!

So my build thread is buggered now. What other options are out there?

Time to get albums back mike? I would rather pay ore than photo bucket... not that I'm going to pay them. $5 a month I could do but nothing is $39.99 a month these days!

why not just load photos straight onto here? from the sd card, or from your phone.

Flickr is awesome. And the app on your phone can/will automatically upload all pictures online. Then link form there. Easy

Will download all my photos from them just incase I deleted the original and delete the account.

If they made it $1-$2 a month almost everyone would stay would they not? But $40 is waaaayy to much. What a pain.

Yep, all over all the forums I follow, I reckon they will give in and back pedal but the damage is done.

Thing is, PB has often been bordering on unusable with the ads it runs and is very resource heavy. Good riddance. Pity about all the broken forums throughout the world. Mind you, the rate forums are going they wont be around forever, why the hell poeple prefer Facebook to forums is beyond me, I think its the forums don't give you the 'warm fuzzies' from getting a hundred 'likes' and tags so everyone gets to then see your handiwork.

pb has been slow for years.
iforce.co.nz seems pretty reliable.

same thing happened to imageshack a few years ago. they killed all the old links and added a subscription fee. now nobody really uses them
