1kz-te head replacement

Post by archieterrano »

Have bought a 1996 tx prado with 220km on clock and intending to replacement the head, just because its the right thing to do.

Where have people being sourcing heads, I've been told to stick with genuine toyotas, but have seen a few places like

Acme impex

http://www.acmeimpex.co.nz/toyota-1kz-e ... bolts.html

and cylinder head supplies

http://www.cylinderheadsupplies.co.nz/

What's your opinion on these places, or can you suggest a better place?

Look at blocking off EGR system and turbo dump pipe. check your viscous fan as well

Kaiapoi repowers can do dump pipes (might be worth asking about heads and EGR blocking as well), ask for Nathan or Cori
